Cancellation and Refund Policy
Reselling Rooms or Activities:
If Katmai Adventure Co., including its subsidiaries—Katmai Fishing Guides, Katmai B&B, and Katmai Expeditions—successfully rebooks the room(s) or activity(ies) initially reserved by the guest, a refund may be considered. The specific amount and timing of such a refund will be determined at the sole discretion of Katmai Adventure Co. management. This ensures flexibility while maintaining the integrity of our booking system across all subsidiaries.
Discretion of Katmai Adventure Co.:
The decision to offer a refund or credit, either partially or fully, is solely at the discretion of Katmai Adventure Co. management. The issuance of a credit or refund in specific instances does not alter our standard no-refund policy for cancellations, nor does it create a precedent for future situations. Each case is considered individually, and previous decisions will not influence the outcome of future requests. As the parent company, Katmai Adventure Co. has final authority over all refund and credit decisions related to its subsidiaries.
Cancellations by Katmai Adventure Co.:
In the event that Katmai Adventure Co. or any of its subsidiaries must cancel a reservation or an activity, guests will be promptly informed. A full refund will be issued using the original payment method. Katmai Adventure Co. will make every effort to ensure that guests are notified in a timely manner and that refunds are processed efficiently, regardless of which subsidiary is involved.
No Guarantees:
The issuance of credits or refunds under specific circumstances does not guarantee that the same approach will be applied in all situations or to other guests. Each request is evaluated on a case-by-case basis, considering all relevant factors. This policy ensures fairness and consistency while allowing flexibility to address unique circumstances. Katmai Adventure Co., as the final authority, will oversee these evaluations and decisions across all subsidiaries.
Communication:
Guests are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date contact details when making reservations. Katmai Adventure Co., including its subsidiaries, is not liable for any communication failures resulting from inaccurate contact information provided by the guest. It is the guest's responsibility to ensure that all contact information is correct at the time of booking and remains current throughout their engagement with us.
Acknowledgment of Remote Location:
Guests acknowledge that Katmai Adventure Co. and its subsidiaries operate in remote areas of Alaska. While we strive to ensure that guests can participate in their planned activities, we cannot guarantee that all activities as originally quoted will be feasible. Environmental conditions, safety concerns, and other unforeseen factors unique to remote Alaska may affect the availability and execution of scheduled activities. By booking with us, guests understand and accept the potential for changes or cancellations to their planned activities due to these uncontrollable factors. This acknowledgment is crucial, reflecting the unique challenges of adventuring in remote Alaska.
Acceptance of Policy:
By completing a reservation or booking an activity with Katmai Adventure Co. or any of its subsidiaries, guests acknowledge and agree to this cancellation and refund policy in full. This agreement is binding and applies to all aspects of the guest's engagement with Katmai Adventure Co., Katmai Fishing Guides, Katmai B&B, and Katmai Expeditions.
